Our students have many backgrounds, cultures and abilities—that's what make us who we are.

1,160 Employees

We have 583 certificated staff, like teachers, and 579 classified staff, who support our schools and students.

The top five languages spoken are English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian and Mandarin.

Tahoma School District has one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools.

$197M Annual Budget

Tahoma receives funding from three sources: Washington State, the Federal Government, and local property taxpayers.

Meet Our New Superintendent

Dr. Ginger Callison officially began her role as Superintendent on July 1, 2024, but she spent several months this spring learning about Tahoma, and meeting with parents, teachers, district leaders and community members. In partnership with the school board, Ginger has identified 4 priorities that district staff will be focused on in the 2024-25 school year.

Tahoma's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is enrolling students for next school year!

The Tahoma School Board approved the hiring of Dr. Ginger Callison as Tahoma's next superintendent.

Each school in our district now has a secure access (buzzer/camera) system, and all visitors must now buzz in.
